A safer, sealed way to drink through a mask with a straw!

SIP is an AIRTIGHT VALVE that grips around the straw and automatically SEALS after each sip, allowing you to drink while keeping your mask on.

Unlike other products (holes, flaps, zippers) that put a hole right in front of your mouth), SIP's airtight seal has been developed and tested to protect the efficacy of your mask (ie, no air leaks!).

Key features:

  • Airtight seal does not sacrifice mask efficacy
  • Reusable:  Can be installed up to 10 times on different masks.  Replenish every 30 days if used daily.
  • Washable (dishwasher safe)
  • Made from food grade silicone that provides a soft touch on your lips

Turn any mask into a SIP mask:

  • Custom fit to your unique mouth position
  • For use on any mask:  N95, KN95, KF94, surgical, cloth, etc
  • Easy self-install in a couple minutes

Valve & Straw Kit Includes:

  • 1x self-install SIP Valve and Securing Ring
  • 2x caps to cover valve when not in use
  • Starter straws (wrapped and compostable)

Lost caps and short straws

I found the device to be easy to install and use, but both caps provided fell off during my flights, which left the device exposed and that made me uncomfortable. In addition, the provided straws are too short for any normal water bottle (plastic or reusable), which was disappointing. I had other longer reusable straws, but they were slightly larger and a little more challenging to put through the device while the mask was on my face.

HI Tina, I'm glad you found it easy to install and use. Regarding the caps, they should fit snugly around the valve and shouldn't be falling off. We've never experienced that before...I'll reach out to understand how that may have happened and to make sure it doesn't happen again. Fortunately, the caps are a nice to have, not a must have. They don't affect the airtight seal....they're simply there to keep the valve clean when not in use.

The straws provided are meant to be starter straws, to help you get used to aiming into the valve. Once you have the hang of that, we recommend upgrading to more durable, reusable straws (up to 6mm in diameter). I'll send you a link to ones you can use with your water bottle.

SIP valves changed my life

I have Long COVID and remain very COVID cautious for my health, which includes masking nearly everywhere. Using a SIP valve really changed the game for me, since it ensured that I can go almost anywhere and be able to hydrate without breaking the seal on my mask. I'm currently about to board an airplane which would be a nightmare without this. Definitely recommend SIP valves (I give them to people all the time) - they're easy to install and easy to use! The only thin I would note for new users is that a lot of condensation can collect on the inside of the valve as you're breathing. It doesn't change anything about the efficacy of the valve or mask, and I got used to it very quickly, but it's just something I warn people about!

Love it, But....

I work conventions, so the SIPmask helps me drink my gallon a day without having to keep removing my mask, and I love that. However, despite packing smoothies to also be able to eat safely while I work, the SIPmask doesn't work with the larger sized straws needed. I don't know if it is just not safely feasible or too expensive to have a larger size, but if at all possible, please consider it.
